One of St Louis's Finest Historical Sites The Oakland House is a completely restored mansion built in 1853 by Louis A. Benoist, a pioneer banker. The house is owned and maintained by the Affton Historical Society whose 'Bricks and Mortar' gang did the restoration starting back in the 1970s.
